Animal shelter suspends adoptions for rest of the week due to COVID issues

The Christian County Animal Shelter has suspended adoptions for the rest of this week due to understaffing issues created by the pandemic restrictions.

Shelter Director Irene Grace says they don’t have sufficient staff this week take care of the animals and arrange adoptions.

Adoptions will resume Tuesday of next week, when families will be able to look over the cats and dogs the shelter has on Petfinder.com and then call to arrange a meeting with the animal.

The shelter is not accepting owner releases during the COVID restrictions, but is still taking in strays through animal control in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.
