A single-vehicle wreck Tuesday night on the Pennyrile Parkway led to the arrest of the driver.
Deputies responded to the accident near the 8 mile-marker about 9 p.m. and made contact with 22-year old Tylon Holmes of Hopkinsville. A news release says Holmes had glassy eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of marijuana.
A search of his person allegedly revealed a prescription bottle in Holmes’ pocket that contained suspected Xanax.
A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded suspected marijuana, scales, synthetic marijuana, liquid codeine, and two firearms.
Holmes was arrested and charged with DUI, multiple counts of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
