The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is wrapping up its first ever sheriff’s citizens academy and is reminding citizens to be on the lookout for phone scams this holiday season.
Deputy Chris Miller appeared on WHOP Wednesday morning and says Tuesday will be the final installment of the academy that’s taught participants about various aspects of the department and they hope to expand the program next year in a hopefully post-pandemic world.
Regarding ongoing scams, Deputy Miller reminds to never give out personal information on the phone to someone you don’t know and that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
More information on scams can be found on the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
