Changes become effective this week to the schedule for Christian County Health Department COVID-19 testing.
There will still be free drive-thru testing Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. at Tie Breaker Park and you must be in line by 10:45 to be guaranteed a test.
Rapid testing will be offered Tuesday and Thursdays between 8 a.m. and noon by appointment only at the Christian County Health Department. Health insurance will be accepted for those tests and the cost is $50 per test if you do not have healthcare coverage.
The health department notes that the rapid tests are most accurate when an individual is experiencing symptoms. One can call 270-887-4160 to make an appointment.
