A theft investigation in Calloway County on Saturday led to three arrests where the suspects are facing felony charges.
According to a news release, deputies with Calloway County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling the area of New Concord, attempting to locate a recently stolen truck. A vehicle matching the description was found traveling on Highway 121 South near Henderson Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was confirmed to be the recently stolen truck from Cypress Trail.
The driver of the vehicle, 41-year old Kelly Morton of New Concord, was apprehended and charged with felony theft of a vehicle, second-degree forgery, along with multiple traffic violations. She was also served with a warrant from the Murray Police Department for third-degree burglary.
A search warrant was obtained for Morton’s residence on Saddle Lane—the search allegedly revealed more items stolen during the vehicle theft, as well as methamphetamine and various items of drug paraphernalia were located.
Two residents of the home, 48-year old Daniel “Shane” Arrington and 27-year old Holly Crosno were arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
