The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Cash Express to host a Cram the Cruiser event, in the hope that they can provide children in need with a good Christmas in a year impacted hard by COVID-19.
Deputy Chris Miller says they jumped at the chance to help out with this event, which will take place December 11 at Cash Express on West Seventh Street from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., and they hope to fill the cruiser up.
He says the toys will go on to the local Fraternal Order of Police to help support their Shop with a Cop program, which will look very different this year.
Deputy Miller says they know that people have been hit hard by this pandemic, and this was something they could do to maybe bring some cheer and peace of mind to those in need.
New, unopened toys for all age ranges will be accepted, and Miller says if you can’t make it that day, toys can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office or at Cash Express. For more information on the event or Shop with a Cop, contact the Sheriff’s Department or the Fraternal Order of Police.
