The Madisonville Police Department has arrested a suspect in a shooting that sent the victim to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
According to the police reported, officers responded to the 200 block of Dulin Street on Thanksgiving Day for reports of a man who had been shot in the leg. Upon arrival, investigation determined that 56-year old Charles Moore of Madisonville had fire a gun from inside his residence.
A search of the home reportedly revealed a rife, ammunition, marijuana and various drug paraphernalia. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Moore was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
