Christian County School System Superintendent Chris Bentzel says it’s very possible the entire district will remain in non-traditional instruction through the rest of the semester and is reminding parents of support to families who need assistance with the curriculum.
Appearing on WHOP Wednesday morning, Betnzel said even if Christian County is not red on the state incidence rate map when those counties can resume in-person instruction for elementary schools in early December, there are a number of other factors he and the board will have to look at to determine if it’s best for those students to return to buildings.
In the meantime, Bentzel says school buildings will be fully staffed during the week beginning next week and you can call your school with questions about the online curriculum—including during the evening.
Bentzel urges patience when you have a question and take advantage of the multiple options you have to contact a teacher.
He praised the teachers and staff who made it possible for Christian County schools to successfully maintain in-person learning for so many weeks this semester prior to the governor’s recent mandates.
