Rookie Jordan Fuller intercepted Tom Brady twice, including one inside two minutes, as the Los Angeles Rams held off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-24 last night. Former Buccaneer Matt Gay’s 40-yard field goal with 2:40 to play snapped a 24-all tie to put LA in front for good. Jared Goff passed for 376 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions as the Rams improved to 7-and-3. Brady threw for 216 yards, two TD’s and the two picks as Tampa Bay tumbled to 7-and-4.
Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow is out for the season with a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee. ESPN reports Burrow also suffered other structural damage in the knee when he was hurt during Sunday’s loss at Washington. Burrow was drafted first overall by the Bengals after winning the Heisman Trophy at LSU.
