Hopkinsville man arrested for meth, marijuana trafficking

An investigation by Hopkinsville police Thursday at a South Main Street home led to the arrest of a man on multiple drug charges.

An officer was flagged down by a resident of a home in the 1800 block of South Main about 10:45 p.m. and the individual said his roommate was smoking marijuana inside.

The man walked police into the home and smelled an odor of marijuana come from the room of 45-year old Phillip Stroud when he opened the door.

A search warrant was obtained and an arrest citation says police found more than four grams of methamphetamine, several plastic baggies of marijuana, digital scales, syringes and other paraphernalia.

Stroud was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
