Unemployment was up from September to October in Kentucky.
Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary October unemployment rate was 7.4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. That was up 1.8 percentage points from September and up 3.1 percentage points from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state one year ago.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for October was 6.9 percent, down from 7.9 percent in September, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
