Dry and windy conditions will make the danger high for wildfires today and the National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a red flag warning from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Forecasters say the relative humidity will be 18 to 25 percent and with winds of 15 to 25 mph and higher gusts—any fires that develop will spread quickly.
Burning is not recommended anywhere in western Kentucky today.
