University of Kentucky women’s basketball standout Rhyne Howard was named today as the SEC Preseason Player of the Year. She was also named to the Preseason All SEC Team while the Wildcats were picked to finish second in the league this season in voting by the coaches. South Carolina was picked first with Tennessee sixth and Vanderbilt 13th.
