A team from the Christian County Rescue Squad found the Cheatham County, Tennessee boy who was the subject of a statewide Amber Alert and returned him safe to his family.
Nine-year-old Jorden Gorman had been missing since Sunday when he left his residence near Joelton and went into a wooded area.
Christian County Rescue Squad Chief Randy Graham says a team of Larry Simmons, Matt Reese and Logan Fryar arrived in Cheatham County about noon Tuesday to assist with the search and they found him under a makeshift shelter created with a tarp in a wooded area near a creek about 3:10 p.m.
The boy reportedly had his arms inside his short-sleeve shirt in an attempt to stay warm and was hungry. The men fed him their granola bars and gave him some water as they walked him to safety.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported Gorman to be cold and hungry, but otherwise in good spirits. The called the happy ending “incredible news.”
