Johnson wins Masters, Thomas finishes fourth

Dustin Johnson earned his first green jacket after winning The Masters in Augusta, GA Sunday, shooting a 4-under 68 to finish 20-under, a record for the event. The 36-year-old finished second in the event last year. Cameron Smith and Sungjae Im finished tied for second at 15-under, while Louisville area native Justin Thomas finished fourth at 12-under.

Owensboro amateur John Augenstein tied for 55th at three over while Nashville native Brandt Snedeker was 59th at seven over. Defending champion Tiger Woods shot a 4-over to finish tied for 38th at 1-under. The Masters returns as golf’s first major in April 2021.
