Report: UT football staff members refuse pay cut

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports eight Tennessee football staff members rejected pay cuts that were proposed in October by the athletic department. Among the eight who refused to take the pay decrease were offensive coordinator Jim Chaney, defensive coordinator Derek Ansley and quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke.

Tennessee’s athletic department expects a $40 million loss in revenue during this fiscal year, largely because of a pandemic-induced reduction in football revenue.
