Marshall County is one of several teams that have made the decision not to play in the KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl that begins next week. The school issued a statement Friday indicating due to Covid-19 issues they will not compete in the Class 6-A playoffs against Trinity in Louisville next week. Trinity will receive a first round bye.
Also announcing they will not compete in the post season is Ballard Memorial. The Bombers will not play Mayfield next week in the opening round of the Class 2-A playoffs. The teams met during the season with Mayfield winning 68-8. The Cardinals receive a first round bye and will play the Caldwell County-Murray winner in round two.
