Christian County had one of its largest totals of new COVID-19 cases for a single day during the pandemic Wednesday and Todd County reported two.
The Christian County Health Department reported 42 new cases and there are now 283 active cases in Christian County.
Officials say 1,989 people have recovered from the virus and Christian County has recorded 34 deaths related to the virus.
Todd County’s two new cases are both otherwise healthy adults who are connected to prior known cases and both are healing at home. One has mild symptoms and the other is asymptomatic.
Twenty-seven of Todd County’s 335 cases are healing at home, 295 have recovered and there have been 13 deaths.
