Christian County’s delegation to the Kentucky House remained the same after the election, with Representatives Walker Thomas and Lynn Bechler both winning.
Thomas lost Christian County to Democrat Pam Dossett, but won Trigg County by a wide enough margin to still win the race by over 1,000 votes. He says he’ll represent those who voted for him and those who didn’t.
Representative Lynn Bechler will continue serving a portion of Christian and all of Caldwell, Livingston, and Crittenden counties after defeating Democrat Alonzo Pennington and independent Austin Valentine.
Republican Mary Beth Imes will represent portions of Trigg and Calloway County after winning the District 5 seat by a wide margin over Democrat Shannon Davis-Roberts.
Republicans gained several seats in the state House and will have a larger majority when the 2021 session begins.
