An author with Todd County roots will be in Elkton for a book signing Thursday.
Annette Hadden Valentine will be at Something Special on the Elkton Square from 1 until 3 p.m. to sign copies of “Down to the Potter’s House.”
Her parents, Shelby Hadden and Georgia Mae Morris Hadden, were from Todd County and she is the granddaughter of the late Joseph N. Hadden of Hadden Mill Road in Todd County. She was in Todd County last year to debut her first novel, “Eastbound From Flagstaff.”
The new book is the second chronicle in her “My Father” trilogy.
In an email to Todd County Standard columnist Carolyn Wells, Valentine says: “I absolutely love to return to Todd County where both my mother and father were born…Returning to my roots and the rich heritage that has its beginning in Elkton provides a mysterious and lovely way of resetting my inward compass.”
Described as a historic novel, Valentine’s second chronicle is set in the time period of 1921 through 1942.
Copies of both books can be bought on Amazon or at “Something Special” for $15.00 each.
