McConnell wins U.S. Senate race, Comer to serve another term

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell won his bid for re-election by a significant margin against challenger Amy McGrath Tuesday night.

McConnell urged citizens to remember that their fellow Americans are not the enemy—and he says he knows that everyone can pull together to overcome any obstacle.

Democrat McGrath ended the race with 37.8 percent of the vote, and McConnell won with 58.3 percent.  In the First District congressional race in Kentucky, James Comer will serve another term after defeating challenger James Rhodes.  Congressman Comer says his priorities moving forward, aside from dealing with COVID-19, will be getting federal spending under control.

President Donald Trump easily won Kentucky against former Vice President Joe Biden, and he also won handily in Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties.
