Bluegrass Preps.com has released its weekly polls.
Class A: Crittenden County is fourth with Pikeville number one.
Class 2A: Mayfield is fourth, Murray is seventh, Caldwell County 8th and Lexington Christian is first.
Class 3A: Ashland Blazer is first this week.
Class 4A: Logan County is 9th, Johnson Central number one.
Class 5A: South Warren is ranked third, Bowling Green fourth with Frederick Douglass number one.
Class 6A: Henderson County is 8th, McCracken County 9th and Trinity is number one.
Reports indicate one area game has been cancelled for this week as Barren County was to play Metcalfe County Friday night. According to a source, Metcalfe County canceled the game, but Barren County is searching for an opponent as it’s the Trojans homecoming. Barren County’s game last week was canceled due to Covid-19.
Trinity High’s football team has been quarantined until November 12th due to a positive Covid-19 case on the team. The Shamrocks-nationally ranked 14th in the USA Today High School Super 25 poll-defeated Bowling Green last Friday 42-7. Trinity was to play North Laurel this week, but will not see action until November 13th against Marshall County in the Class 6-A playoffs.
