Three-time World Series champion manager Tony La Russa is returning to where it all started. The Chicago White Sox have named La Russa their next skipper. La Russa held the same position with the Sox from 1979-1986, winning 522 games. The 76-year-old went on to manage the Oakland Athletics and most recently the St. Louis Cardinals from 1996-2011.

A.J. Hinch is reportedly close to being at the helm of a Major League Baseball club again. According to multiple reports, the Detroit Tigers and Hinch are finalizing a deal to make him the club’s next manager. Hinch was out of a job this past season after the Houston Astros let him go in the wake of their sign-stealing scandal.
