Hopkinsville’s Halloween Scare-A-Van is Friday afternoon at Trail of Tears Park and organizers are expecting a big turnout.
Downtown trick-or-treating couldn’t happen this year because of the pandemic, but Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says the businesses, agencies, churches and political candidates are excited to hand out candy to children who will remain inside their vehicle and socially distanced.
Toby Hudson says you’ll enter the park at the south entrance where the Convention and Visitors Bureau is and drive through the route to exit at Skyline Drive.
The candy will be distributed to the passenger-side of the vehicle.
Organizers hope to return to the traditional downtown trick or treating next year.
