Western Kentucky’s delegation to Washington D.C. is pleased with the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the president and Republican Senate had the authority to appoint and confirm a justice and that’s what they did, eight days before Election Day.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul issued a statement saying in part, “Judge Barrett’s integrity, dedication to the Constitution, and deep knowledge of the law have been widely praised, and I congratulate her on this achievement.”
Congressman James Comer believes Justice Barrett will be a “superstar” on the Supreme Court.
Comer believes Barrett will push back against “judicial activism” on the Supreme Court.
