Southern Miss interim Coach Scotty Walden will become the new permanent head coach at Austin Peay. The 31-year-old Walden will take over from Marquase Lovings who was named interim head coach after the departure in July of Mark Hudspeth. Walden was named interim coach at Southern Miss replacing Jay Hopson, who resigned September 7th. He will be formally introduced in a news conference next Monday on the Austin Peay campus.
