Following a one hour delay due to stormy weather, South Warren rolled out like the weather and routed Christian County 48-9 Friday night at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans jumped out to a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 42-0 at the half. Christian County got a third quarter 23 yard run by LRay Coleman for the Colonels lone score of the night.
Coleman led Christian County in rushing with 13 rushes for 93 yards with a score. Christian County was outgained 339-157 in total offense as South Warren improved to 5-0 and concludes district play 3-0. Christian County is now 1-3 and finishes district action 0-3. The Colonels and Spartans will meet again in the opening round of the Class 5-A playoffs.
