World Series resumes/no DH in National League in 2021

Following an off day, the World Series resumes with game three between Tampa Bay and Los Angeles this evening in Arlington, TX. The series is even at 1-1. Walker Buehler starts on the mound for LA and Charlie Morton gets the nod for Tampa Bay.

MLB insiders say the National League will return to having pitchers bat for themselves in the lineup next season. Reports coming from the league offices on Thursday show the temporary rule creating a universal designated hitter in the American and National leagues will not be carried into the 2021 season.

Officials say they may reexamine bringing the DH to both leagues at the end of 2021 as MLB and the players negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement.
