The Clarksville Police Department has charged a man with kidnapping and felony theft.
According to a news release, the incident occurred at approximately 7:00 PM on October 21, 2020 at the Dollar General in the 1300 block of Dover Road when 27-year old Nicholas O’Quinn allegedly stole a vehicle that was outside of the business. There was a sleeping child inside the vehicle, while the automobile’s owner was inside the Dollar General grabbing a few items.
Officers located the vehicle a short while later in the 1000 block of Ross Lane, with the child still inside and unharmed.
O’Quinn was arrested and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, theft, and evading arrest. His bond set at $140,000.
