Report: Jefferson County to decide fate of HS Sports Friday

The Courier Journal reports Jefferson County Public Schools will announce tomorrow morning the future of high school sports. The JCPS Board meets this evening to discuss whether high school sports will continue after this week. Jefferson County is currently a “red” county in Kentucky’s Covid-19 rate map. JCPS superintendent Marty Pollio will look at the numbers today before making the decision. If the board votes to shut down sports, it could have statewide ramifications.
