The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is hosting a ‘haunted library’ event on Friday and the public is invited attend for some ghostly fun.
According to a news release, the second floor of the library will be transformed into a gothic house for the evening and will feature jump-scares, fog machines, strobe lights, a scary indoor Story Walk and more for people to enjoy. It will take place Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The event is free to attend, and face masks must be worn and social distanced maintained between family groups. The Haunted Library is not recommended for children under the age of eight years old.
Youth Services Librarian Jennifer Annis-Domenech says, “For several years, the library has offered a HallowRead event leading up to Halloween. This year, we knew we had to try something different because of the pandemic. A haunted library enables us to limit the number of people in the space at a time, while still allowing us to offer a fun, safe event.”
