Jason Kokrak fired a final-round 64 to overcome a three-shot deficit and finish 20 under for his first PGA Tour win at The CJ Cup at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas. Xander Schauffele was second, two strokes back. Tyrrell Hatton and Russell Henley, who began the day with a three-shot lead, tied for third at 17-under. Louisville area native Justin Thomas tied for 12th at eight under.
For the second time in as many starts, Phil Mickelson won the PGA Tour Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic in Richmond, VA. Mickelson’s 17 under par score was three strokes better than Mike Weir. Franklin’s Kenny Perry tied for sixth at 11 under and Paducah’s Russ Cochran was 64th at one over.
