Woman arrested for meth trafficking following Crofton traffic stop

A traffic stop Wednesday night by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department in Crofton led to the arrest of a Nortonville woman on methamphetamine trafficking charges.

Deputy Charles Fiscella stopped an SUV driven by 36-year old Krista Gamble of Nortonville for equipment violations and an arrest citation says there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A K9 alerted on the vehicle and a search allegedly revealed a handgun under the seat, two baggies containing a total of 11 grams of meth, four ecstasy pills and digital scales.

Gamble was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
