Braves and Rays win games Tuesday

Mark Melancon got A.J. Pollock on a game-ending groundout with the tying run on third as the Atlanta Braves held on to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 in Game Two of the National League Championship Series in Arlington. Atlanta led 7-0 in the seventh inning and 8-3 in the bottom of the ninth before Los Angeles made it close. The Braves lead 2-0 as Game Three will be played at 5:05 Central time today.

Joey Wendle drove in a pair of runs in a five-run sixth inning as the Tampa Bay Rays took down the Houston Astros 5-2 in Game Three of the ALCS in San Diego. The Rays took a 3-0 lead in the series and can punch their ticket to the World Series with a win this evening.
