The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville got a visit from Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams Tuesday and heard an update on his time so far in office.
Secretary Adams say COVID-19 has been the main focus of his efforts so far—navigating what election safety will be and implementing a plan that was fair to all and gave everyone a choice in voting this year. He says people can vote in-person on Election Day, early in the weeks leading up to it, or even by mail with absentee voting—which he says is closely monitored and vetted.
Adams says he’s confident the majority of races will be able to be called on election night—unlike how it was in the primary election.
He says other than the election, he’s working to keep his campaign promise of cleaning up the voter rolls, which is a time consuming process.
Mail-in ballots can also be dropped off at drop boxes at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Christian County Clerk’s Office. For more information about voting in the general election, go online to govoteky.com or call your local clerk’s office.
