Martin Laird rolled in a 23-footer for birdie on the second playoff hole to win the PGA Tour’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas. Laird won for the first time since 2013 and also won in 2009 in Vegas. He held off Austin Cook and Matthew Wolff. All three finished regulation at 23-under.
Ernie Els at 12 under was a one shot winner over Colin Montgomerie at the PGA Tour Champions SAS Classic in Cary, NC. Franklin’s Kenny Perry finished tied for 29th at two under while Paducah’s Russ Cochran tied for 75th at 13 over.
