Local attorney Clayton Adams is leaving his private practice as he anticipates being appointed Commonwealth’s Attorney in Muhlenberg and McLean counties next week.
Adams said in an email to the Christian County Bar Association Friday that he’s been notified by Governor Andy Beshear of his intention to appoint him to the post, effective next week, as Commonwealth’s Attorney Ralph Vick retires.
Adams lives in Muhlenberg County and says he’s excited about the new opportunity.
He thanked his partners at Thomas, Arvin and Adams and gave special thanks to local judges who have allowed him to “grow up” in their courtrooms.
