Fire destroyed a home early Friday morning in northern Christian County.
A passerby called ECC about 2 a.m. after seeing flames at the home on Union Temple Road and firefighters arrived to find the structure already collapsed, according to Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham.
Officials were able to determine later in the morning that no one was home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters from Crofton, Mannington and West Side responded and an investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s Office was also dispatched to the scene to help determine the cause of the fire.
