Six people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Hopkins County.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined 19-year old James Tyler Harris was eastbound on Highbanks Ferry Road near Slaughters about 5:40 p.m. and was causing his pickup to fishtail in the gravel when he lost control.
The truck went into a bean field and rolled at least three times before coming to rest upside down.
Two passengers—18-year old Alexis Eagan and a juvenile—were flown by helicopter to area trauma centers. Harris, 30-year old Oscar Hardin and two other juvenile passengers, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
