Princeton man charged in two county pursuit

A Princeton man is facing multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, after a pursuit that took place in Lyon and Livingston counties Wednesday night.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, troopers were patrolling in the area of the 37 mile marker westbound on Interstate 24 when they attempted to do a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 19-year old Jameer Riley of Princeton. Riley reportedly failed to stop and accelerated, fleeing at rates of near 150 miles per hour.

He then exited Interstate 24 at Exit 31 before crashing at the end of Morris Road in Livingston County, where he reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. He was able to escape, but was located and taken into custody Friday morning.

Riley was lodged in the McCracken County Jail on charges of two counts of fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic violations.
