Ky. gains 1,039 new COVID-19 cases, six new deaths

Kentucky reported it’s second highest day of new COVID-19 cases at 1,039 and Governor Andy Beshear wished the President and the First Lady a speedy recovery.
That brings the state total up to 70,727 and the positivity rate rose slightly as well to 4.3 percent—Governor Beshear says the escalation is evident, is this is fourth day in a row of record high numbers of new cases.

 

He says anyone can get this virus, as proven by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump testing positive for COVID-19, and he wished them a quick recovery.

 

Six more Kentuckians have died, raising the total to 1,197 Kentuckians lost to the virus. The governor also reminded everyone how important it is to wear a face mask in public, social distance when possible and make sure to keep frequently washing your hands.
