Three injured in multi-vehicle I-24 collision

Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on I-24 in Christian County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department collision report, the collision occurred around the 88 mile marker and involved four vehicles around 6:15 p.m. Investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 30-year old Andrew Morris of Tazewell, Tennessee was stopped in traffic when he saw a vehicle approaching him rapidly from behind.  That car, operated by 39-year old Lori Baker of Clarksville, reported failed to stop and struck the back of Tazewell’s vehicle.

The force of the collision spun Baker’s vehicle, where it collided with a third vehicle driven by 37-year old Yury Kravchuck of Florida.  A fourth vehicle heading eastbound in the right lane operated by 21-year old Gariyanna Kelly of Hopkinsville was reportedly unable to avoid a collision with Baker’s vehicle, striking it.

Baker and her passenger, 32-year old Megan Sidio of Clarksville, were transported to Tenova Health for treatment of multiple injuries.  Kelly was transported for treatment of injuries to her arms and hands.
