Three local players advanced to the Girls KHSAA State Tournament next week in Bowling Green after play in the 2nd region tournament Tuesday at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Hopkinsville shot 362 as a team with Cate Blane’s 80 and Anna Fort’s 86 advancing them to play as individuals at state, with University Heights’ Rheagan Lindsey firing an 84 to make state and Conlee Lindsey with 88, however Conlee Lindsey lost a chance to go to state in a playoff.
Christian County did not have any players make state, but Riley Johnson led the Lady Colonels with 98.
For the second straight year, Madisonville won the regional title with a 344 score.
