The Hopkinsville Boys and Girls Club continued serving the community even during the midst of a worldwide pandemic, and is gearing up for their annual luncheon, which will take place virtually this year.
Board of Directors Chair Angie Goode appeared on WHOP Wednesday and says they’re excited to have students back in the building now that school has started back, and the expansion of the cafeteria to help feed those kids is nearly complete.
The Great Futures Luncheon will go online this year and will take place at noon on Thursday—Goode urges everyone to watch the presentation to learn how the club has impacted both the community and the many students who rely on them.
Those interested in donating to the club can do so by calling the club at (270) 887-4020—Goode says the club has been creating mask extenders for first responders using their 3D printers and been providing families with food throughout the pandemic closures.
