Patrick Mahomes fired four touchdown passes and also ran for a score as the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Baltimore Ravens 34-20 last night. Lamar Jackson had just 97 yards passing, one TD, four sacks and a lost fumble for Baltimore. KC is 3-and-0, while the Ravens fell to 2-and-1. Mahomes became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to achieve 10-thousand passing yards, doing it in his 34th game. Kurt Warner held the record, doing it in 36 games.
There is a changing of the guard in Chicago. After coming off the bench and rallying the Bears to victory Sunday at Atlanta, quarterback Nick Foles will be the starter going forward. The 31-year-old vet takes over for Mitchell Trubisky, who was the second overall pick in 2017.
Despite an 0-and-3 start, Jets head coach Adam Gase says he is sticking with quarterback Sam Darnold as his starter. Gase says he just needs to keep playing to fix his mistakes. Darnold threw three interceptions, including two for TD’s, in Sunday’s loss to the Colts.
