Muhlenberg County Sheriff Ricki Allen has died.
Officials say he died at his home Tuesday morning and while the cause of death wasn’t immediately known, Kentucky State Police say foul play is not suspected.
He had served as Muhlenberg sheriff since January of last year and previously served with KSP, including a stint as Post 16 commander.
Todd County Sheriff Tracy White said, “Today the Muhlenberg County community, family and friends lost a great leader and friend to all who knew Sheriff Ricki Allen. I’ve known Sheriff Allen my entire law enforcement career. Sheriff Allen always greeted everyone with a smile. I consider him a true friend and will truly be missed by all that knew him.”
