Commonwealth’s Attorney office temporarily closed to public after positive COVID test

The Christian County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office is closed to the public until October 8 after a member of the staff tested positive for COVID-19.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling says the move is out of an abundance of caution, noting his staff will be participating in court hearings via zoom through October 8 and the Christian County Grand Jury will not meet this Friday.

Boling says he contacted the Christian County Health Department after learning of the positive test and says they have agreed with measures he’s implemented.

Boling says they continue to check all employees’ temperatures as they arrive at the office and he and his staff are monitoring themselves for possible symptoms.

He reiterates his office is not in quarantine, but that all actions are precautionary measures. Boling says his office has and will continue with social distancing and hygiene measures to prevent spread of the virus.
