Oak Grove woman injured in Bypass accident

An Oak Grove woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon at Eagle Way Bypass and the Pennyrile Parkway.

The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 52-year old Melissa Hancock of Oak Grove was westbound on the Bypass and went through a red light at the Parkway, striking a car operated by 41-year old Aaron Sneller of Hopkinsville—who was attempting to make a left turn with a green light.

Hancock’s passenger, 71-year old Faylean Mathews of Oak Grove, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else required a trip to the hospital.
