Distanced desks and WiFi available at museum for VLA students

The Pennyroyal Area Museum is offering socially distanced space with wireless internet access in its facility for students in the Virtual Learning Academy needing a safe and fun place to learn.

The desks are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 until 4 and while it’s free to use a desk, officials say space is limited and desks can be reserved online here or by calling 270-887-4270.

Without a reservation, desks will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. An adult must be with the student at all times.

Officials say the museum also offers activities for homeschool and VLA students to use as they explore the exhibit gallery. These interactive worksheets follow six of our exhibit sections and engage students with puzzles, writing prompts, and educational games.

Regular admission costs still apply to tour the facility.
