Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day and the League of Women Voters spent it encouraging people to sign-up to exercise their right to vote.
Anita Simmons with the league says they were providing information to help people register, but people can also do so at the Christian County Clerk’s Office or online at govoteky.com—the deadline to register is October 5.
She says it’s of vital importance to exercise your right to vote, as it gives you the chance to select those who will represent you and make choices in your interest.
The League of Women Voters has been hosting pop-up voter registration events for several months—you can reach the Clerk’s Election Office at 270-887-4107.
